We have a developed a simple research application to collect data on the people’s feelings of security in real time across various days and time of day. This is done voluntarily via a mobile application that participants can download from the app store. Participants are prompted via randomized pop-up notifications to complete the survey. To increase participation, we have kept the survey simple, and the completion time is three seconds.
To begin the survey the participant will enter simple demographic information. Users can volunteer demographic information such age, gender, and their zipcode. We also capture the date, timestamp, and geolocation of the responses to find patterns between feelings of security with locations, time of day, and days of the week. This data can be seen on our public interactive dashboard.
We take security and privacy very seriously. Survey participants will download the mobile application from the App Store or Google Play onto their personal devices. We do not ask for any personally identifying information, permissions to access contacts, photos, or the contents of their phones.
